Sierra Gamechanger?

So... after a couple of days of product introduction, I wanted to see if Sierra could actually give their customers a bullet that they promoted. I gott'a tip my hat to Sierra. I waited a few days on purpose. even then, I put an order in and actually got a conformation from Midway that I was going to get a new bullet that a bullet manufacturer offered. It's like not being lied to.
"We have a thing so how about buying it". What a concept! So I did. 243 and 6.5. Hey... maybe these new bullets are crap but maybe not. At least, unlike all the other guys, we can try them and decide for ourselves.

The 308's... I'd go for some testing with them but they're not bonded. Is that a thing... who knows. I totally dig 308's in the 165 gr. range but they gott'a anchor an elk, if I hit it right. Long live the 30-06. Wondering if Sierra agrees. Also got some Hornady bonded. Don't want to compare apples to oranges but I don't have an endless supply of elk to shoot so...

I will reserve the accolades till after I shoot them. I ordered them simply because I happen to favor the 130gr 6.5 and have a very reliable recipe for it. I also had the brass ready, just had not ordered the TSX I would normally use.
I however, was happy to see it available when released to the market instead of 6 months of tease advertising to feel out the market then decide there is not enough interest to go forward. They were either very confident of the results after testing or they took a big roll of the dice.

Well add me to the list of buyers, ordered some 130 gr 6.5 for my 264 & a box of 165 7mm to try in my 7 STW. Now the wait for my order then the wait for some cooler weather!

Range test today, they shoot! Quickly put together 50 new Hornady 6.5CM cases/CCI-BR primer/H4350/ Sierra 130 Gamechangers & Hornady 130 ELDM.
Charged from a Lyman Gen6 (Did not double weight check, mine throws pretty accurate, even @ .1 grain light)
The Gamechanger are longer than the ELDM (didn't measure)

Savage Tactical 10FP, Savage 26" heavy varmint (new take off barrel, I set up as minimum chamber spec), Choate Tactical, a 15lb tack driver. I carry it in a pack.

As you can probably see from the stats, I got little groups. This particular 6.5CM rifle loves the 130 ELDM's, but the Gamechanger's were right behind and slighlty larger.
This is in NO WAY max charges for this rifle and just seated the bullets .020 off, to start on both, to keep it as close to apples to apples.

In this particular rifle, the Sierra Gamchanger, is pretty **** good! On paper anyway?

I shot a cow elk at about 100 yards with a Sierra Gamechanger just a few days ago. It was the .308 dia. 165 gr. bullet with 56 grs. of H4350 loaded as a 30-06. The bullet went right through the heart leaving a fairly small hole on each side. I did not recover the bullet. I have seen other brands of bullets do much more damage to an animals heart. See photos.

Boy, this guy is on a mission to prove the Gamechanger doesn't expand lol. Just joined today and every post is the same.

Yeah being this new of a bullet it was hard to find some real world experiences. Maybe I'm a little aggressive but I wanted people to easily find what I had experienced.
