SHERMAN MEGA LINE

Brass, Brass, Brass is the 7WSM issue. Not so much with the 270 and 300.
Yes I know but I have a couple hundred brand new Bertram 7 WSM stored up from a few years ago. I do like the Sherman Mega line however and I am so glad I went with the long reamer version; I had two different 338 Megas in the past. Both were built using the shorter throat reamers at advice of someone. Could never get the velocities I wanted without major pressure issues with the shorter freebore reamer. Went with the long throated reamer for this 300 Mega and it is fantastic. Will certainly go with the long throat again also if I do the 7mm Mega that's for sure.

Picked it up late last week.
Justin at Kinport Peak did the work.👍👍👍
Only put a few through it so far, dang heat-humidity is brutal!

Beautiful!
Thank you, a last minute stock swap changed what I had pictured in my head for colors and all that.
Then we decided to start out simple, change later maybe.

What a nice spec sheet there. Keep us updated when it cools down a bit.

Still love my 338 Mega which is a hell of an efficient cartridge. The powder pressure bore area balance its hard to comprehend. The perf from a short 21.5" barrel is outstanding. So little lost per inch even with slow HE powders like RL26/N560.

Getting ready to try some of McGuire's Copper Rose 250 gr ! Looks to have a bc in the .410 -.415 g7 range Gonna try them on WT & bear this winter if my barrel likes them. Hoping the node will come in where my 250 SBDII did at 2800 fps. Still have plenty of 250 EHs

Am currently collecting parts for a 6.5 Max highly packable setup MDT HNT26 folder chassis build. Going all high end on it.

After that want to build a 600 /1k bench gun as I want to do something competetive to keep up/improve my wind skills and shooting thru the rest of the yr. Or maybe PRS or F class. Actually was surprised there were a good number of PRS comp within driving distance. Also have 1 1000y range within 30 min of me and 2 more within 2-3 hr. PRS would probably transfer best to hunting but tiny groups @ 1k sure sounds fun as I like trying to squeeze the most out of tuning a load to a rifle. The newer Freedom BR series seems to be catching on around here.

Some 6mm probably. BRA maybe. Start with an LG.
