Semi-Light shorter barrel build, looking for some feedback

Easy button would be a tikka, 20" 6.5 creedmoor at 5.9lbs.

I cannot offer an argument against this. Whenever I talk to a gunsmith about going smaller than #3 contour, they act like it is impossible. I think they don't like the risk that it won't turn out better than a much cheaper rifle. Gunsmiths seem to want to build 9lb hunting rifles. I kind of pushed myself towards a Tikka instead of a #3 with fluting.

My lightweight rifle would be an sig cross i think. I just really wish they made them in 6cm seems like that would be a good rifle.

I run a an 18" 6.5creed.
140 berger vldh at 2600fps with a tbac ultra 5.
I'd be looking at a manners eh-1
Glass would be NX8 ~28oz or March ~22-24oz for me.
Rings ARC,seekins,NF, or unknown munitions.

Got a chance to head up to northern michigan..had to borrow a scope but this new tikka worked out pretty well.

Not an elk..but it worked **** good on a white-tail. Blood trail was amazing with hornady eldx precision hunter rounds

I have a sub 9 lb rifle with a can. Perfect set up for me. This set up in the picture is a 18" PRC but I could swap barrels and run a creed etc. I have 20" creed I built for a saddle scabbard. Running a 135 it go right at 2775. That same bullet in the 18" prc is 3000. Currently running a 20" prc Sherman at 3100

Brent and I must have same taste. I build mine just like this and swap barrels and bolts based on cartridge.
