Shorter barrel thoughts?

As of right now it's looking like the 47 will be the one I decide to chop.
If I can get this project going I will report back with my findings.

My daughter shoots a 22" 6.5SLR. Pushes a 130 OTM @ 2910fps and absolutely hammers game. From 60 to 637 so far. A few big mule deer bucks, pronghorn, coyotes, jackrabbits, to a 741 yard squirrel.
I like it so much, I will be building a 18-20" 6.5SS next year specifically for carrying with a suppressor. I will probably run the 150 SMK in mine unless the Matrix bullets become available again.

I run a suppressed 17" 6mm creedmoor Shooting just factory hornady 108eldm ammo. 2805fps. Shoots sub .5" at 100 and I've taken lots of critters with it. Including a buck antelope at 662 this year. Impact velocity 1900fps . Complete Pass through. Bullet still expanded. 2" exit hole. . Dead in 20 yards. It's dang HANDY and fun. Stinky ole goat caught my nose same time as the camera clicked LOL

Sierra 130 game changer

Do any of you have any expierence with these in a short barrel/ lower velocity set up like I would be lookin at?

Barbour creek has a vid on the game changers. Like 700 yards. So low velocity impact. They were "decent" imo.

I will be in the same boat. I'm looking to pretty much shorten everything I have. To start it's going to be my 243. Right now it has a 24" I can't decided how much to cut off. I'm probably going to take it down to 18".
