Cabela's version just below the muzzle brake.

Awesome!! Thank you for putting this up. I have a PRC on order and wanted to get the muzzle brake tapered.

One more question Scottyboy and then I'll stop bugging you...When you ordered your rifle, did you have to tell them that you wanted the carbon dbm or is it standard?

No worries at all, I had the exact same questions/concerns before I ordered.

The carbon fiber dbm is only available with the 6.5 PRC and is standard with that caliber. As of a week? or so back, Seekins was not offering this in any other caliber, but they have intentions of getting there in the future.

So, if you order the 6.5 PRC you will get the carbon fiber dbm. Any other caliber, you will get something else (cabelas website is not accurate with many of the features/specs)

Cool...thanks a bunch man. I'm interested in the PRC round as well so if you get the chance to report your opinions on it after shooting it, it will be much appreciated.

I was hoping to get out this week but wind chills were around -20 so that kept me in. The week of the 22nd I'm off, so I'll be out then and will be sure to report back

Anybody get the latest Havak? Looks like it's in a modified Mcmillan GS. Wondering what the LOP is? Also wondering about the flush dbm on the hunting models. Says they have them on their website but received an email saying they aren't offering flush mags. Kinda confusing.

Carbon fiber flush mags are only available at the moment in 6.5 PRC.

Took mine out today and was shooting well under .5moa at 200yds getting my zero set. Only got 15 rounds down range before the weather blew in, but these rifles are shooters!

I put hands on the new stock at their SHOT booth this week. They make it in house. It is carbon-fiber and very lightweight. Lighter than the McMillan GS, I believe. Not sure on the LOP since the two were not side-by-side (only their stock was there, not the GS). Nothing not to like about it, the ergonomics were excellent. The grip was sufficiently 'vertical' for my taste and a bit bigger/wider than the GS. The demo rifle with a Vortex Razor AMG mounted on it balanced very nicely.

Also in the booth were their new upgraded hunting and competition rifles. Both with their new stock in a camo paint scheme. The competition version had fully adjustable stock hardware and a flush mounted M-Lock rail with an available Arca-Swiss attachment. They have straight fluting on the barrel and upgraded Timney Calvin Elite Triggers.

Last I heard, the flush mags were only being included with the 6.5 PRC until they catch up on production, but take that for what it's worth. Too bad because the carbon-fiber flush mags are feather light. Very nice.

Thanks for the replies. I'm definitely calling them soon. Considering my next rifle purchase will be used for hunting, I'm really looking for a flush mount. If I can get one soon, I will definitely be dropping the $$$ for this rifle.

Will take a pic tonight of the 6.5PRC and carbon mag. It's not "flush" with the stock, about halfway up the trigger guard.
