By who and with what barrel?
Both of mine also have zero primary extraction. The 300 I would have to tap the bolt open with a rubber mallet. Before I bought them I could find no bad reviews. Now, I see a lot of bad reviews. Guess I just must be looking for them now.
Please don't hose another buyer with a junk rifle that you purchased. I can't understand why you purchased a second rifle from CA if the first was giving you problems ?I am thinking I should just trade the CA in on the Proof.
Good luck on your Elevation I have the same caliber and have sent it back 2 times tight chamber and lucky to shoot 3" groups at 200 yards!I have shot thousand rounds between these 2 guns trying to figure it out. I have put 4 different scopes, Leupold VX5HD 4-20 x 52 ZL-3 scopes and my trusted Nightforce SHV 5-20 x 56 off my .308. I am about at witts end with these. I did come across a great deal on a Proof Elevation in 6.5 CR. Slapped my VX5 on it and with in a half a box of Hornady 143 ELD-X she was shooting inch groups at 200 yds. I did order an Elevation in 6.5PRC, won't get here till November. I am thinking I should just trade the CA in on the Proof.

Reading through this thread entirely and seeing these pictures, I would NOT shoot it again. I've witnessed first hand a catastrophic failure from over pressure and that my friend is dancing on the line of the next one could be the last. Send it back, get your money back and start over. This is only my opinion and hope whatever you decide to do works out in your favor.First shot of the day at 100 yds. in the X, as the barrel warms groups grow. As it warms even more, gun jams. You can see the brass. Both 6.5 and 300. A view of the chamber from the factory, I have just bought a bore scope, but did not have it for these pics. And last, the brass shavings on the bolt face.
Dude! That chamber looks like "Dawg Chitt" I think a guy with a cordless drill an angle grinder, A Hammer and some more "Dawg Chitt" Could have done a better job! Their top Gunsmith did this?First shot of the day at 100 yds. in the X, as the barrel warms groups grow. As it warms even more, gun jams. You can see the brass. Both 6.5 and 300.
