Reloder 26

In .243WIN and RE26 with 105 Berger VLD I'm getting 3095fps in 26" barrel at 46.1 gr. FWIW

That's pretty close to what QL shows for that load give or take a few for case capacity and powder lot.
It shows 3095 fps with that bullet @ 56,480 psi.

I ran a test with CCI250's yesterday. I was able to use half a grain more powder than CCI200's without pressure signs. SD was 30 with the 250's and 26 with the 200's. I'd loaded up some at the same powder charge as the 200's to run through the MagnetoSpeed and then got distracted and didn't test them. Of course, I could do some more testing but that was my initial test.

I ran another test today. I loaded three groups of five with Fed215M, CCI250 and CCI200. I used a Scott Parker tuned scale and weighed to the kernel. The SD with the 200's was 39 and the SD with both the Fed and 250's was 19. The magnum primer certainly made a difference in that test with 45 grains of R26.

Incidentally, I worked up a load with Lapua 22-250 brass that had one firing in a 22 Creedmoor. I was able to get to a completely full case (47 grains) with no pressure signs at all with the 82 Berger. SD was 6 with 66.5 grains and 3589 fps. That was with a CCI200 since I'd already primed 100 pieces before I got to the range.

7mm RUM with 143 grain Hammer Hunter I finally hit pressure at 95 grains of Redoder 26. I need a faster twist barrel to shoot heavier non lead bullets so I am having fun shooting out this barrel. Would like to try these on some pigs, should kill them pretty dead.

That is really screemin'! I have a 7-.300 Norma Magnum Improved with a .350" long neck on the way. Your load is very encouraging for me since I love velocity. I'm going to give their 177 grainers a try since my barrel is a 7" twist.

That is going to be a BAMF !!!!

My 340 has a 28" tube, and I get close 2990-3000 fps with 250 grain NAB's. I don't have the load data at hand, but I think that is was 86.6 g of R-26 with a Fed 210 primer.

Tried the GM215M primers in my 6.5 Creed using RL26 and HBN coated bullets.
The 130 ELD-M bullets seemed to like the Mag primers, ES dropped into the single digits with good groups at 100.
The 143 ELD-X bullets ES opened up, strange they would shoot several almost ditto on velocity and then one would be 15 - 20 fps up or down. Worked up and down the loads that worked out for the BR2 primers, and tried seating shorter and longer by .010" still the same thing. Groups were between .300" and .470" CTC at 100 yards. Velocities were checked with Magnetospeed Sporter.
My sweet spot with 143 ELD-X was 48 gr of RL26 @ 2990-3000 fps, with HBN coating had to come up .5 gr to match non coated, with mag primers it jumped back up so I reduced .5 gr back to 48 gr to match velocity. Tried from 47 - 48.5 gr at .5 gr jumps always same result with mag primers.
Still too early to make a solid conclusion with my set up but it appears the lighter bullet gets a gain from faster ignition were as the heavier does not need it.
The 130's shoot best at the 3000 fps mark as well and I will be testing the new JLK 130 VLDs with both the BR2s and GM215M primers.

Did a load work up with rl26 and 180 Berger VLD's in a 7 mag, with 64.5, 65.5, 66.5, 67.5 and 68.5 grains, using cci large rifle mag primers.

Going by memory here...64.5 was 2780ish, 65.5 was 2830ish, 66.5 was 2920ish, 67.5 was 2980 ish, and 68.5 was 3023, I remember that one. The highest E.S. number was 13 fps, lowest was 7 fps, and no heavy bolt lift, ejector mark, and all shot under .6" ctc. This is a factory Remington 700 long range, and I'm using federal brass. I may work up in .5 grain increments till I see pressure. I just haven't seen alot of this combo, had to kind of guess on my charges but I think I got my charge range correct.

Started load development in 280 AI factory Kimber with a 24" tube 154 SST. Started at 58 grs, got to 61 with no pressure signs. Loaded 3 rounds .5 grs apart and with each group I would have 2 rounds within 10 fps or less of each other with one usually 20-30 fps lower. Last 3 were 3073,3053, and 3084 for instance. I am using WLR primers. Would mag primers tighten up the velocity spread and give higher velocity? Accuracy opened up with the last group but it may have been me and not the load. Haven't shot in a while. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance

I have seen primers cut groups in half. Therefore I always start with Federal 215 Magnum primers so I can switch primers without cutting back on the load. So, yea, I would switch to magnum primers. And yes I have seen velocity increases with magnum primers.

I hit pressure at 74grs of R-26 versus 75.5grs in a 300wm I built a buddy. The velocity was slightly higher with H-1000 and groups were a little better as well.

I shot my 6.5 Creedmoor again a few days ago but had to change brass because I was piercing the small rifle primers in Lapua brass with the large firing pin in my Remington action. I ordered a couple hundred Peterson 6.5 Creedmoor brass with large rifle primers. The Petersons brass is heavy and gives up 1 grain of water capacity to Lapua and 3 grains to Hornady brass. I was only able to get 46grs in the cases without a drop tube but it turns out that where I started seeing faint ejector marks. I started at 44grs and got around 2725fps and ended at 46grs with 2875fps. This was with 147 ELD-M's at .030" off the rifling. The groups were impressive with the 46gr load shooting a .105" 3 shot group. I didn't measure the 45.5gr load but it shot 3 of 4 about .2". I screwed up the 3rd shot and shot a 4th that went with the other 3. The other upper target is a 5 shot group with 45grs. This is from a 25" #3 Brux barrel, Remington action, Jewell trigger, and McMillan edge fill Game Scout stock that I did all the gunsmithing on myself. It only has 27 rounds through the barrel now and it should pick up 40-50fps as it gets near 100 rounds through it like my 300wsm Brux did.

Anyone compared Reloder 26 against H1000 in the 300 win mag with 215 Berger Hybrids?

Not in a 300 win mag, but in a 7mm mag with 180 Bergers I have. The H-1000 and RL-26 were very similar in accuracy at 100 yards, from .3 MOA to .6 MOA in a factory Remington, but with the RL-26 I reached 3023 fps and still wasn't getting over pressure signs, with the H-1000 I was seeing over pressure signs at 2980 fps, and also H-1000 had terrible E.S. numbers, 30 fps on the low end, and 50 fps on the high end, with only 3 rounds...but the RL-26 had a low E.S. of 7 fps and a high of 13 fps. That is just my experience in one rifle with one bullet type in a 7mm mag.
