Red dot vs scope for Raging Hunter

Love the one MOA dot and motion technology

Red Dot and I prefer the Leupold with the smaller dot.

Using bright yellow glasses extends your shooting time in the evening & makes most game look like a spot light is on them. I wear my yellow Rx glasses 100% of time hunting.
My Raging Bulls in .41, .454, .500 have really good triggers. Guess I got lucky.

The Raging Hunter has a Dan Wesson style trigger. The Raging Hull is like the Model 66 I believe. I'd rather had a trigger like the one on your pistol. Cost me almost another $100 to get the trigger fixed. But it's good now.

Personally, for the conditions that you hunt, a red dot reflex…..I like the Burris Fastfire in 3 MOA.

It adds very little bulk and weight to your handgun, holsters much easier, and (at least for me) much quicker on target. memtb

I have the Galco Hunter, exactly as shown in the photo. I simply used a razor knife to remove a small piece of the leather to just clear the sight. memtb

I'm carrying a S&W 460 XVR (pretty heavy) in mine.

It wasn't bad, but I added one of those "imitation" sheepskin seatbelt shoulder strap covers to mine where the strap rides across the neck/shoulder area. It seemed to make it even more comfortable!

But that's just my opinion…..if at all possible, find one and try it on! memtb
