I have the Ares BTR Gen2 and like it a lot. It is a back-up scope to go along with my March. So many good options out there. I do have to say though, if I was looking for another scope right now, it would be either the Steiner or the Meopta. However, it weight is a concern, then the Vortex LHT, Leupold, or something of the like. My March covered all my check marks though, but the sticker shock was hard to get over. I know it's right there with the Nightforce and nothing like the TT's, but it was expensive for me. I am building a switch barrel rifle to share one chassis (MDT HNT26), one receiver (Tikka), and one scope (March). Then the Athlon will go on the Tikka T1x in 22LR and that can share the MDT chassis as well. Pinching pennies (expensive pennies at that) to make copper wire. LOL!Does no one like the Athlon line? Especially the Cronus?
I hope the Zeiss works out. I understand and can appreciate scoping many rifles can put a dent in the bank account. I tried the V6 on the last rifle and so far so good. I just don't like heavy scopes.Understood, but I have about 20 rifles and dont need (can offord) the "best" for each.
