Actually, my smith likes them too; a No. 1 he rebuilt just printed several 1/2 MOA groups at 300 yards with 300 H&H. Caveat, he was a real, not pretend, sniper.I have several barrels by x caliber these guys have been great and I will order from them again.

Probably need to have it throated for the longer bullets to get that kind of speed. Those 135's are long and take up case capacity. I'm looking at some load data for 120 Sierras and 2900-2930 is max book load in a 24" barrel.you're not totally wrong by any means. But so far everything I have shortened has been just fine, maybe slightly different powder choice than what the books say.
I'm thinking about 2900fps with a 135 berger should be easily attainable even with just a 22" barrel, and the ballistics with those numbers is quite good.
I'm not saying it's the most efficient use of powder, but they sell it for us to burn! Better than creedmoor, little less than PRC.
yeah extending the throat is likely to happen and I have lots of mag space.Probably need to have it throated for the longer bullets to get that kind of speed. Those 135's are long and take up case capacity. I'm looking at some load data for 120 Sierras and 2900-2930 is max book load in a 24" barrel.
