This I fail to see the point, especially if you use a canted mount.Not sure if I understand the purpose since zeroing the scope will place the reticle different than center and end up where it has to be in alignment with POI.

I would hope that people who sets there own rifles up know the deference?Unfortunately, some people will see this and think this is what they have to do to sight in their rifle. They will do the mirror trick, then think they don't have to shoot it and head out to go hunting. Much like those folks that get a Cabela's "tech" to bore-sight their new rifle and think they are ready to hunt.

I've re-centered optics a few times when I bought them used.....by the counting clicks needed for full travel, then halving it method. I'll try to remember this if I ever need to do it again.
