Powder pricing

Not going to drop until we get something done about the crazies in office. With no gun grabbers in office demand goes down. Stuff was everywhere when Trump was in. ARs were cheap. Soon as someone in DC says ban it the price skyrockets.
Some of those who say ban these guns own stocks in the gun companies. So for them it is a win win. If the guns get banned they get what they want, if the gun don't get banned everyone just bought everything that was available and the stock value goes up

That's the part where they begin to say they support 2A.

The interesting dilemma is one LGS has 8# H4350 for $399 and little hole in wall LGS has it for $279. I posted that up week or so ago. So how the hello can a small shop sell at reasonable price for reasonable profit and another sticks it where sun doesn't shine? Easy, we are being raped by the very same shops that need are business but are taking advantage of shortages to their benefit.

Now that is what twists my shorts.

Companies took that tax cut and said sure, sure we're going to pass on the savings. They probably trying to sell the Brooklyn Bridge too. Preying on people's fears and raping folks that just want to hunt and put food on the table.

Yeah the devil himself George Soros has stock in a number of gun companies, if my memory serves me correctly one of the companies is Ruger.

What a turn of events...the powder manufacturers doing the work of the antis !!!! Everyone blames the dems and the antis but none of there efforts have managed to come close to lower the shooting publics range time than the ammunition manufacturers...heck, they might get an award from the ACLU...VERY STRANGE TIMES INDEED..

In all fairness to Hodgdon, they only package the powder, the manufactures control price because of manufacturing costs.

Powder chemicals are petrolum based.

In the supply chain, Hodgdon will see the price increase first. Then distributer 2nd, mom & pop last.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks component OEMs, retailers, and manufacturers are raising prices just to raise them. Labor costs are up, shipping and transportation costs are up. Raw materials are more expensive. And the primary reason is that supply has been disrupted, which makes everything unpredictable. And because supply is jacked, demand increased as people realized that you better buy it as soon as you see it. That is why prices are up.

I don't have any inside knowledge, but I can't believe component OEMs or retailers would have any desire to screw their customer base, as many people seem to believe. That flies in the face of hat it takes to run a successful business long term. I can see no reason to do that other than prioritizing profitability in the extreme short term. That is something unsuccessful companies do.

Everyone seemingly hates capitalism, unless they are selling something. Then they like it.

The majority of people in the country are just consumers. Their only real "product" is time they "sell" to their employers... and they think its perfectly logical to demand more for their time always, and simultaneously demand to pay less for all products they buy.

The overwhelming majority of people are ridiculously selfish and short sighted, which is why so many complain about prices and will continue to complain about prices for the rest of their lives. They would continue to do this, even if they had 10 lifetimes worth of money in their bank account. They don't know "enough" and the only answer is "more."

They don't care if businesses are facing crippling supply chain issues and terminal employee shortages. As long as they "get theirs," everyone else can jump off a cliff for all they care.

I don't disagree with what you are saying at all, but I will say that yes we business owner are all selfish. It is the reason for going into business for ourselves. If people weren't selfish to an extent we would give everything we own away but no one would take it
