Opinions - Most Accurate $500 ish 22LR rifle

How do the Remington 541t compare to the modern Tikka and Cz?
I can't say for sure. I shoot a 540XR and it's a bit better than my CZ but it is a big heavy specialized target rifle. On another forum that specializes in rimfires most old target rimfires like that are not up to a good CZ or Annie at forum online matches. I had a Mossberg US 44 that was disappointing. My heavy barrel 10/22 beat it. I'd bet on the CZ but not heavy. The 541's do shoot good. Might depend on shooter, ammo and the day as many matches do.

I have two CZ 452's. One is my dedicated squirrel rifle. I kill hundreds of squirrels/year. So many that my wife once threatened me if I brought home any more squirrels. So I started cooking them myself so she couldn't complain and brought home even more (lots more).

My other CZ 452 American is for the 25 Yard Scoped Rifle Match on RimfireCentral Forum. It is often the Match winner.

I also have the Tikka T1X which is very accurate, but the stock is very uncomfortable to carry and handle because of its sharp angles. The bolt is noisy in the woods. So I like the CZ much better.

I'm interested in the Bergara MICRO rimfire when it becomes available. But I won't buy it without handling it first.

The CZ 457 is a nice handling rifle if you don't mind the longer barrel; at least it is well balanced and comfortable unlike the Tikka. If you are just bench shooting and not hunting. I guess it doesn't matter. But I like to hunt with mine.

From what I hear the CZ 457 is the most common gun chosen for the NRL22 Base class competition where gun/scope must not go over $1050. But the Tikka and savage compete well too.
Yeah, for years various CZ models dominate any competition involving sporter weight with a price limit. I hear that Tikkas are very competitive but haven't seen much results yet myself. Savages are common but are rarely near the top. But on any given day they can run with the big dogs.

you might look at the ruger precision rimfire I have the 22mag version I swapped the trigger and the darn thing is quit impressive other than that my 22lr is a cz precision trainer and it is awesome for out of the box accuracy

Cz squirrel gun.

A used Savage imported Anschutz 64 will walk on most Cz's and Tikkas at rimfire benchrest matches. If you watch you could grab one in budget.
I have not seen that in match results. People do run them on another forum where match results are posted.
Check NRA or other data bases.

I only have semi auto 22's but have a ton of ammo and thinking about getting a bolt gun for range practice to save my target run's barrel for mostly matches and to save components/cost. I could pay for a $500 gun inside of 6 months of shooting.

I'm looking for a full sized bolt 22lr with as good of accuracy as $500 will buy and a decent trigger.

I could put a barrel and trigger on one of my 10/22's but would rather have a bolt gun.

Note I already have a good scope to use.
Ruger Pricision 22lr, your 10-22 mags fit. My son and I both have one great for entree level plus competition
