I'm in the south east, so I'm hunting heavy cover. My shots range from 20-250yards. I'm looking to add a shotgun to my set up. Just wondering what you guys prefer for up close yotes.

I like a 12-gauge using # 4 buck shot in a pump or auto loader. I used a pump out of the plane or helicopter and number four buck was about as good as I found with a modified choke. A beretta 300 is a fine shot gun for the job.

I personally like the idea of a semi-auto turkey type shotgun for predators. I have a Mossberg semi-auto that runs good and I've killed some fox with it, but I can't recommend Mossberg as I had major struggles with their customer service to get the gun in working condition. I'll keep using it as long as it keeps working, but I won't buy another.

Personally I'd look at whatever shotgun brand you like and look at their turkey or home defense models. A bit more handy and don't really need a 28" barrel.

I use a Browning Gold-10 with #4 buck shot. Modified choke patterns well out to about 50 yards. It's heavy but shoots great.

I have 2 dedicated calling shotguns. My favorite is my S3 turkey. It has the pistol grip.i use a predator choke tube. I use different shot depending on what I'm calling
