I just prefer a couple other cartridges over the Creedmoor because I reload and build my own rifles. I find the performance of my 260 bests my 6.5 CM to the point where it offers not only more performance but accuracy is better (In my case) and I have alot of reloading components for it. In the end, it's simply a personal preference issue. Being old school, the 260 is my choice. Not sure why I haven't ackley'd it. Personally i prefer the 6.5-284 over any of the 6.5s. I have a Creedmoor in the safe. It has 365 rounds thru it. Shoots very well and will do anything my 260 will. Only thing it won't do is make me as happy when I'm behind it in the woods or at the range. I started using the .260 in the 90s when it was introduced. My LE Marksmanship unit picked it up as an urban sniper gun. Myself and two other members had one issued to us and from that day I've been a fan of the cartridge ever since. Built my son one and now he's moved on from it to the 6.5-284. Like me, he prefers a different 6.5 as well. He fell in love with my 6.5-284 and decided he had to have one. As long as the 260 continues its life without becoming obsolete from the new blood cartridges, I'm good. Long live the .260. It just happens to have alot of cousinsIt doesnt matter if you reload or not. The availability it much better than the x47 or 260 rem. Everyone and their brother makes rifles, brass and ammo for it. Not true for the others. The x47 has nothing on the creed and the 260 rem has maybe 50 fps on the creed. I'll take availability over 50fps any day of the week. That's just me though and everyone is different which is ok. Some people just have issues with more options I guess.
