Official Hammer bullets Terminal Performance (picture heavy)

finally recovered a bullet! 650 yds cow elk. Quartering away. 1 shot and she made it about 20 yds. As you can see the bullet went through the scapula sideways. It was found in the off shoulder just under the hide. Very happy with its performance! Only lost about 5 lbs of meat to bloodshot.

What was impact velocity, bullet, and twist rate? Looks like the petals didn't come off on that one, along with the tumbling. Still killed well, which is the most important part!

I just took two kills with the Absolute 130 Gr out of a 280 Ackley. one was a facing 60 yd mulie 3x3 and the other was a cow elk at 365 yds. on the mulie, the shank was recovered under the skin just in front of the opposite side ham. No petals were recovered. As expected the entrance was an explosion -grapefruit size debris on the shoulder blade and both rib cages were destroyed. Believe it or not, the buck still ran nearly 100 yds before piling up. As launch velocity was 3285, this amount of damage should be expected. The cow was struck just below the heart and took out the far side front leg. the cow rolled down the hill and was perched on a hill. a 175 shot to the back of the head ended that. Although max velocity out of my rifle is over 3400 fps with this bullet, i found 3285 to be the ticket for accuracy. 1/2 moa from a factory X-bolt. My backup x=bolt was borrowed by another member of our party when it was discovered his scope was mounted incorrectly. He took a cow at over 350 yds with a 140 Absolute out of t hat 280 Ackley at a muzzle velocity of 3200 fps and had no issues. These are the first 3 kills i've witnessed with Hammer bullets and they performed as advertised. I believe there are other bullets that will also do the job, but which of those can be loaded to the velocities of the Absolute Hammers? I'm getting 150 to 200 fps more out of similar wt bullets and that translates to flatter trajectories and better terminal performance.

App puts it at 1951fps 1:8 twist. The petals did come off. I found one of them. May have been a little bit faster as entrance was a few inches higher than where i was aiming. Could have dialed 1/2 moa less and been right on. That being said i really appreciate the bullets performance entering higher than i wanted but still taking her vitals out quick.

Skimmed but didn't find- Any take a bull elk with the 124 HH out of a 6.5 CM? Anything over 400 yards?
Love the 6.5 caliber and hesitant to buy another rifle while starting a new business, but everyone here knows what that fever feels like!

This is virtually the same projectile terminal performance wise...

Ok, looks like some of it is still on, not flat fronted like they are meant to, unless that is a separate petal laying with it. What bullet is it? Thanks!

Cleaned it up and looked closer today. Looks like only 1 pedal shed. The one i found. Other 2 peeled back as you see in your blown up pic. Its the 155. Out of a 28SM with a mv of 3430
