The 109 AH in the 6.5-284 is bad medicine!!!That's good to hear about the Badlands because I have some inbound to try out in 125 grain 6.5mm and 175 grain + 150 grain .308.
I also have some more 109 & 123 grain Hammer Absolutes inbound to continue testing in the Grendel, 6.5x47, 260AI & 6.5-284.
Speaking of getting off topic, I would Like some advice from you.Gentlemen, We are getting way off topic
Give it a good initial cleaning before shooting it, Load up some Hammer's and let Her eat, I shot 50 rounds of Hammer's on a brand new tube before I cleaned it, Had almost zero copper foulingSpeaking of getting off topic, I would Like some advice from you.
A couple of months ago you Told me what the ideal 25-06 Build would be, the Barrel arrived yesterday. I want to know how to break in ect. (Dont want to Screw it up)
Thanks in advance.
Thanks Bro. I plan on shooting nothing but Hammers in it i forgot to mention that it is an AI so i will be Fire Forming for a while.Give it a good initial cleaning before shooting it, Load up some Hammer's and let Her eat, I shot 50 rounds of Hammer's on a brand new tube before I cleaned it, Had almost zero copper fouling
I used a shorter bullet and run it in a 8twist, but also according to the jbm stability calulator tip bullets stabilize easy than a bullet without a tip! I just wanted to see how much bc would pickup! Brian and steve have been playing with a tip design also. Mainly for the guys wanting a better bc. I can dial for whatever bc so don't really matter to me i run the 22 cal 73s to 700 yds no problem and 124hh 6.5s to 1000!Looks like the tip will make the oal of the bullet somewhat longer it will play a factor in oal of a loaded cartridge which might be errelevant but will it effect the stability factor of the bullet for a certain recommended twist rate would be my main concern I don't know this but possibly the reason for hammer bullets not being tipped I personally like them the way they are but each too is own interesting experiment
Sounds like your on top of the gameI used a shorter bullet and run it in a 8twist, but also according to the jbm stability calulator tip bullets stabilize easy than a bullet without a tip!
