You guys are making me want another dog! Luckily I realize I'm getting too old to train and exercise one. But I still want another GSP. 😩

The runt & is 48lbs of personality.

Awesome Dogs!!

Love Brittany's! Easiest dogs to train. I grew up with lemon and liver pointers. I don't think God ever made a more stubborn dog. A friend gave me a Brit nearly forty years ago and I never looked back. I have owned and trained a half dozen since, a German short haired and a couple of Weimaraner. My son owns a Weimar I trained now. The only way to have a good bird dog is to spoil them. Use to have one that would go to the truck and load up if you missed more than three or four birds in a row! 😂 Said he wasn't hunting for free. 😂 My Grand father used to feed him the heads. Ole Joe was definitely spoiled.
Liver pointers are not stubborn, they're really, really persistent hunter trainers......

Hey,

So when I was growing up most bird dogs stayed outside, were fed table scraps and cheap dog food. They certainly weren't spoiled. So here's what happens in my house now. This is my soon to be 13 year old Brit. She's an incredible bird dog, I'll hunt her half days this year and it'll probably be her last big hunting year.

Brother, lost my Brit about 3 years ago and it really broke my heart. She was a great hunter and pretty much did everything with me. She even sat in the co-pilot seat of the airplane when my regular co-pilot (wife) was not with us. She actually really loved to fly and was always looking out the window. She was so smart it was scary some times. This photo reminds me of her. These were my ":three Stooges". Have lost all of them now.

So many good ones. My big tough special-diet adult independent hunting dog is a very good and very spoiled boy. He hardly ever gets carried, he never barks about the cheese tax, and he hasn't marked my bare leg in public for almost 3 years.
