Never Spoil your Bird Dog!

My 3.5 yr. old English Lab "Jack" is still in puppy stage I guess. Like 1mechanic stated, noView attachment 575974 more plastic toys. He chews up and destroys everything he can. A red ball once disappeared. Saw one piece of it on floor. For two days red pieces in his doggy logs. No more toys like that since. My older Chesapeake "Whiskey" doesn't chew things up.
Since learning that toys that can be destroyed shouldn't be givin to dogs, we invested heavily in good quality rawhide chewy rolls. (We gave him one of those 3 foot long ones at Christmas, took 4 months to devour. He guarded it jealousy.) No cow hooves, they splinter. Our neighbor lost their rotty from a perforated stomache. No more midnight vet calls. No more furniture or shoe chewing. Happy and content.

Those props are great. Less rotational weight, stronger, better balanced, quieter, last longer, and lower rotational speed. The J Model engines are around 22-24 percent more powerful and get 20%+ better mileage. I wish I would have had a chance to fly them.
That's awesome. I bet those props are quieter and less hp to rotate.

This morning.

That's a good diet. Better than dog food. As long as a little fat is in burger.
When my dog had the squirts the vet recommended that I boil burger to remove the fat and then add the burger to rice. Works great to slow the flow! lol
In a non squirting situation there's no reason to remove the fat and my dog loves venison burger and rice.

Been a work horse since 1960. One of my favorite planes.
Sorry for derailing dog guys ! 😉
Actually, first prototype Aug 23 1954. First production flight was Apr 7 1955. This link is a good read if your interested:

Sorry about getting off topic guys.

Dogs need a little fat. Read the contents on dog food. My younger English Lab will get the squirts if I give him anything different. They love cheese. I give them a baby carrot after meals also
