Need help to decided on ar 15 caliber

I run a 6.5G with 123gr SST's..... hogs are DRT, very accurate and fairly inexpensive to reload.
If you do reload, check out the .277 Wolverine from MDWS. Uses a 5.56 bolt face and brass can be made from .223 / 5.56, I just finished building a 16" upper but haven't put it on a pig yet, just paper. Running a 90 or 100gr bullet, it's a poor man's SPC. Good luck with the pork gettin'!

I run a 308 with a pulsar at night for the tactical strikes where we know the pig is or for yotes. 18" faxon barrel. It does very well. I also run a .300 blk with 125 noslers out of a 16" barrel and it is devastating to the pigs. I can push those rounds to about 2400fps. They are HOT, but very accurate. Normally the 300s do not exit and I get full energy transfer.
