The worst case of bullet weld I had was 338 mag with heavy neck tension. Cases cleaned in corn cob media. They were so tight they couldnt be pulled with my collet puller. When i seated them deeper to break the weld there was a distinct pop and the bullets had rings in them from the seating die. Since then ive used a mandrel and Lee case lube in the necks and no issues. I crimp in some cases as needed
