I agree before you go and hammer Remington, this is not a Remington issue at this time this is a trigger tech issue. And before you hammer them all of you with those pretty customs know that your pretty custom action design is a direct descendent of these 700 actions. If I take a bad or incorrectly adjusted trigger and put it in a $1500 defiance I am willing to bet you I can induce a slam fire just like the incident that occurred with the OP. Does Remington have its problems, well obviously but they moved on from that **** trigger that caused 99% of the incidents from the past and combined with those faulty triggers was simply incorrect gun handling to begin with.
