Looking for 260 deer Loads. I have H4350, 142 Nos ABLR's, 143 ELDX. I loaded some 142 ABLR over 42 grns of H4350 but they were only about 2550 FPS out of my Tikka CTR. Is anyone pushing 140 - 142' s 2800 and above ?

You could try H1000, IMR7828 or N560. Even H4831 is pushing 2800fps.
I run H1000 in my 260AI, 142ABLR are running above 2900fps in my 29" barrel. My other barrel is 32", but I don't hunt with that and it gets just under 3000fps with 142gABLR.
I think you need to switch powder.

Cheers.

Shot a bunch of 139 Scenars out of a 20" .260 CTR. 2800 and change was about the best I could ever get regardless of powder used. I believe 42ish grains of 4350 ran in the 2750 range. RL17 was the fastest, but got a little spicy when temps were above 80 degrees or so.

My CTR likes them .... that's what I sighted it in with 139 Scenars 41.9/ H4350 2.82ish. I didn't have my Garmin that day but after I got it zeroed I shot a .4 group with them. Have you ever shot a deer with the 139's.

Shot a couple of them with the Scenar, and one big cow elk. Ranges from 40 yards to about 500. Everything died post-haste, and exits were about golf ball sized.
