My new 6 creed build w/ load development

Any poly tipped match bullet, or non pointed bthp will work well down to 1800-1900 fps. 108 eldm are reliable killers, 95 tipped match kings are excellent. 105 hybrid too. The 6mm with 2950-3100 muzzle velocity are really underrated hunting cartridges. I've had equal success with 75 eldm from a short barrel 22cm, as Inhave with a 338 rum on deer/antelope last 3 season. I killed a few critters with 108 eldm factory ammo from a slow 22" barrel last year(mv 2880) and the results were very good.

My 6mm cm with 28" McGowan precision #8 Palma 1 in 7 twist!

I am building another 6 Creedmoor in a lefty. Just ordered my 20" Prefit 7twist barrel on a BlackFriday sale and have a ARC Nucleus action I've been sitting on. I have a right handed one now that's a custom build with a 7 Twist Krieger. About 100 rounds down the tube but will be posting it here for sale in the classifieds in the next day or so. Plan is to build this to run the Badlands SBD2 100 grain or one of the Bergers in the 105-109 weight class.

Well here we are a year later. I ended up spinning a new barrel on it. The criterion shot ok, but it was a bit finicky for my liking. Some days it would shoot lights out but most days it shot around .5. Shot 600 rounds or so down it and pulled it off. Called up @Jud96 at Peirce Engineering and we got a Muller Works MTU contour 7.5 twist 4 groove on order. He spun it up for me and wow what a hummer. This barrel is VERY consistent. We're 150 rounds or so down the tube and the largest group it's shot so far has been .6. This first pic is a random old I pulled out of my butt with the 109 berger based off my last 3 6 creed barrels

I shot that load for a bit just to get rounds down the barrel. Since the 109s are basically gone and no clue when bergwr is going to get more out I bought 1,000 107smk on sale and started load development today. Started with a seating depth test there was no need to go much further as this was the first group

I did play with some more seating depths but shorter didn't really get any better and groups were less consistent. Went .005 longer and we again got a nice tight cluster at .225

Poi is very similar to all the other groups. Ran a quick powder charge test looking for poi shifts and settled on 41.2 of h4350 with a velocity of 3046 sd of 5. I'll confirm this load tomorrow or Friday when it's warmer because it was just too cold and windy today for me to be out there that long.

I did my Winchester in with a 6 mm creedmoor McGowan barrel 28-in 5r rifling number 8 Palma and I made a bullets from David tubbs 115s using a vetiver 568 man oh man that that got shot out of the box better than anything I've ever had I'm talking bullet and bullet and bullet the heavier bullet with the slower powder with the long barrel and a 5r rifling just like a laser now what I got to do now is I'm going to make some more out of that vetiver powder 568 or maybe 560 but I was making them with like 38.4's grains of it avoid with a 115s and then I was making them with 40 points something with the 115 I got the same results at 100 yards but I got a feeling the increase velocity with the higher content powder will hang in there longer now what I got to do is I got to take her out and stretch her out but I'm so happy about the way this gun shoots it's just surrealistic and I got Creed more six fives I got like three of them and they shoot lights out I was shooting like with with the Creed more six fives I was shooting like 153.5 shoes and 4831 SC and that thing's shop six bullets in the same hole running a golden eagle on it McGowan is barrel out of a Ruger precision put this 6mm creedmoor it's just lights out
