Sure most Elk shot with a 30-30 wondered off and Died, total crap, the Hunters in those days new there limitations and Range of there weapons, I would be willing to bet that far more wonder off and Die after someone who took a 500+ shot at them. Read an article from the Idaho Fish and Game stating that they were looking into cutting back on Elk and Deer Tags because of all the animals they are loosing to Long Range Hunters. I worked at a shooting range and I have seen first hand that Most hunters who want to be long range shooters have no business shooting long range................its frighting. Yes, some can but those are few and far between..........
