what is your favorite long range caliber

My favorite is the little .22-.250 in a quick twist with 75-80 grain bullets - most underated & cheap to shoot. Low cost bullets & close to 200 rounds per pound of powder. Not for big beasts.

It's tough to beat a 338 going 3k or more.

However I don't shoot one.

I'm working on a fast twist 25-06AI for thin skinned stuff. And I have a 300prc that I'm thoroughly impressed with for game out to 1k. I personally won't shoot at the deer family past about 800yds but thats me and I know what I'm comfortable with. Hogs on the other hand......longest kill was over 1100yds.
