My 2024 Adirondack buck!!

nice. Gun, scope, caliber, shot distance?????????? details please
That is a left handed Forbes model 20B in 7/08 with a Leupold VX-R 2-7, a 120 grain Nosler BT over some Varget powder, Lapua brass, going 2980 fps, and the shot was my normal woods range of about 50 yards!!! I love those 120 Nosler BT's, they absolutely hammer deer!!!

Awesome buck ! Congratulations! That's a work out. Muddy and I, he more than I know some about the Adirondaks. I still have family that live there on Caroga lake.Muddy will correct my spelling 😉

I've left Vrooman's a couple times and had a self inflicted headache the next day!

Well I was fortunate to be blessed with another great Adirondack deer season once again, I hunt solo from a small canvas wall tent most years and always on public land in the big woods moving around as the conditions permit and constantly chasing the next mature buck on my radar, I self film all my hunts, so I'm able to grab screen shots from some of my video clips while editing, I'm not much of a writer.. but I have a feeling some of you will like these photos! I hope everyone is having a successful and safe season out there, and if you're still hunting.. Good luck!

I shot this buck a few days ago, while still hunting on bare ground, he was 186 lbs and scored 149 5/8 gross/green

The drag out is always my least favorite part, but a buck this nice I'd rather drag him than cut up and pack out so can I show my family the results of a great season and lots of hard work!

Once to the nearest water body, in Adirondack tradition, I let my ADK guide boat finish the rest, the row back is always much better with a view of a 150 class buck hanging over the bow. Whenever my full video of this buck from 2024 and the hunt for him gets released, it will be located on the Tracking 200 channel link down below, the video below is mine of another buck I killed in the Adirondacks that I already posted on here sometime back, but it's a good watch if you haven't seen it, I think my next video, once finished will even be better, I got some great down the barrel action this time! - Jon Hill

Massive! (Body and rack) Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures.

You will really appreciate the video when it's done then, I have no idea when it will finally go up on the channel, but it will…. eventually.. I have another one (video) coming out real soon that is some old footage of tracking one down on snow. On this last hunt I videoed most of the row out in my guide boat with many different camera angles to get the whole experience on film, with my brand new GoPro 12 so it should be great footage.. I love that boat. I bought mine from a couple of brothers in Vermont who still make them, super great guys, I had the mini version for a few years and I called them up after one season and told them I need the full 15' model, to haul myself + gear + and a good buck across rough water, they gave me everything I had paid for my mini model on trade and delivered my new one right to my house, after taking it to some canoe show in Wisconsin during the winter for display, they run sales this time of year, great people to call and talk with! Adirondack Guide Boat Company in Ferrisburgh, VT
Appreciate tagging me when it comes out!!!

What? Not a 30/30? 😁 Seemed everyone in Wells shot one. I was oddball with .270.

I wish that everyone had your lack of writing skills. Great post & beautiful buck.

Great Buck, Looks like you needed some help dragging him to you kayak, Saw 4 almost that big all together mid August, all dead now, lost over 50 deer on my property and across the river the golf course lost 80-100 , no-see-um's fly bite them and 15 hours they are dead, high fever and then they go lay down in water and die. What a waste. Going to watch your videos now on the tube. Thanks for posting ,
Lost several very good bucks( biggest one was a 170 class 12 point) and about 20 does a few years back to the same stuff. What bothered me the most was we are over a mile from any surface water.

Props, that's a serious buck. And how cool is that to paddle it across the lake.
