I'm guessing n570. Did some load work up for a friend with 153 Atips and ended up around 3000 when I was shooting for 2950 ( was worried about jacket failure) and no signs of pressure
Send me a separate contact and I'll tell you about the .338 and the Whelen. They're pretty impressive. Especially at altitude.

Which Bergara model do you have?OP. I realize I've not contributed anything of substance regarding your dilemma. So let me say this.
I have a Bergara 300 prc. Shoots like a rifle that costs twice as much. The Bergara brake works exceptionally well. My 11 year old and my wife shoots it. Less recoil than an un broke 308 of equal weight. That's shooting Hornady of the shelf 212 eldx. It's a fine cartridge and you will enjoy it.
If I remember correctly it's a premier highlander.Which Bergara model do you have?
Thank you, in my part of the country; I take my over-under 12 gauge shotgun in the brush because it is too thick for a rifle. My rifle is used in timber, corn & bean fields.Ok, I'm sorry but when they look that nice I'm a little reluctant to drag them through the brush holes that I hunt. Man that's a beautiful rifle
no bolt face is same but the bolt face can be changed in a matter of mins action is there standard LA, feeding is up to what bottom you put in you can even do a 6.5PRC and a 375 H&H did that set up also just used a S.S. 20 inch shoulder fit barrel for bears up closeThat sounds like a sweet setup. How well do they cycle? And don't they use a different bolt face? Dang it. Why did you have to post that lol
That sure sounds like the way to gono bolt face is same but the bolt face can be changed in a matter of mins action is there standard LA, feeding is up to what bottom you put in you can even do a 6.5PRC and a 375 H&H did that set up also just used a S.S. 20 inch shoulder fit barrel for bears up close
There's a few different actions you can do this with "change bolt face". With regards to changing barrels and being able order prefits there are also numerous options. Both barrel nut type and shouldered prefits. Kelblys Atlas has numerous barrel makers making shouldered prefits that you spin on and off very quickly. I just finished a 308 which I have a 7/08 switch barrel I can spin off and on in 20 minutes. It however does not have a bolt face change I can change. American Rifle Company makes the Nucleus that can do this though. Anyways, PM me if you want more details. Sorry to the OP for getting off track a little. That sure sounds like the way to go
Sooner or later, bigger or smaller, most long range cartridges get compared to a .300. there is a reason for that.Sounds like 300 it is…which means exactly what you said, 6.5 will stay in the safe…until I can find a buyer haha!
The boss lady says sell for a 300, sounds like that's where I'm headed.
I should've gotten the 300 in the FIRST PLACE!

So may I ask why sell your 6.5 PRC and not just build or buy a 300 PRC.?The 6.5 is a great round - don't sell it!!!!
A Bergara Premier Pro is a good choice if you plan on in the future in changing calibers. There's a few different actions you can do this with "change bolt face".
