Midsouth had 8 lb Jugs of Retumbo this AM. $350 plus all the nickle and dime fees. Anyhow, decided to add one more "jug o' joy" to my stash. I will mix the 3 lbs of Retumbo that I have and shoot away at will. Now I can shoot the 338 as much as my shoulder allows! (Its actually suppressed, but his 340 Wby is not. I just basically have told my buddy he's on his own with that one!)

I have wanted to be able to play more with Retumbo for a long time. Imagine though -- 8 lbs in the 338 is only about 560 shots.......

I like H4831sc with a 162 Hornady ELDX or 162 interlocks. Good velocity (3054 fps) and kills elk size critters out to 700 yards or so. I get really good ES and SD too and I'm running fed 210 and not mag primers. This is out of a 9.5 twist 7 mag.
