Measuring Case Length with Comparator

I bought a mitutoyo 6" caliper . it's a nice caliper and still on the first battery . I also have an older starett caliper . it does not have an off / on switch . it shuts it's off after not being used for so long . it's a pain in the neck to change batteries in , and it's also hard on batteries . I still have 2 of the Frankford calipers , but won't buy any more of them . I'll buy another Mitutoyo . I could get by with two calipers .

So.. I took rfurman24's advice and put it up against a ruler... and tried 3 different batteries. This is what I'm getting for a 1" measurement.

Looks like you have the perfect calipers for reporting group sizes on the internet....I'd keep those as is.

If I use them long enough the group size may shrink!
