Interesting imput on LA and SA bolts. I hadn't realizes the there could be problem using a LA with a SA type cases.

I heard of issues years ago but nothing recently and I think mostly with BDL/ADL style.

I think there are minimal issues, but being able to seat bullets out as far as possible the long action out weights the minimal issues

And I would add being able to seat bullets out as far as possible maximizes the potential of the 6.5prc

Looking to do a budget build. Thinking about a 6.5 PRC on a 307 action, but they don't offer a short action with a magnum bolt face. Can I use the long action? Not planning on using a box magazine so bottom metal shouldn't be a problem. I'm more concerned with the bullets feeding.

Yep…..works fine. I have two barrels in that for a Zeus action. Works flawless.

I used a savage 110 from a 270. Changed out barrel and bolt face from a 7mm mag. Works great.

6.5 Prc on a 700 LA. I havent cycled through a five round mag to see how it does. Im betting it will work just fine.
