Let's see your 300 win mags

No pic but I own a Sendero in 300WM, currently topped with a Burris XTR II 5-20X scope. It's taken game from 80 to 680 yards with boring reliability.

The factory Remington barrel is accurate but rough. For the first 600 rounds of its life it had to be deep cleaned every 20 rounds or accuracy went from .5-.75 MOA to 2MOA in a few shots. I then did a Tubbs treatment skipping the two most coarse bullet treatments, and it's been much better since.

I won't be upset when the barrel is shot out and I can justify an aftermarket tube. Currently at 800+ rounds down the tube and it's still a tack driver when maintained. Still in the factory stock, though I bedded it at the time of Tubbs treatment.

I love the 300WM for the versatility. My long range loads are 200AB at 2970fps. I also have loads with the 110gr VMAX about 3800fps and the 125BT at 3400fps. The latter two splat varmints with complete authority.

Savage 111 action, Mcgowan 26" varmint barrel, Zeiss HD5 5-25, my camo job.
It loves 180 NBT, group shot at 200yds.

Used to be a 300WM, now a 270-300WM. M70 Laredo, Pac-Nor 1-8 twist barrel, launches 170 Bergers at 3150fps(was 180's at 3100+ as a 300WM).

Had a 300wm built on a Win M70 in a McMillan A3-5 that was sold eventually in a momentary lapse of sanity. So I've now got a Manners EH1A on order, plan to pick up a Chase Custom Axiom action and a Proof Research CF barrel. Should make for a nice, medium light weight hunting/long-ish targer gun. Scope is still under consideration. Thinking about a Leupold over a NF to save weight.

I was shooting this evening in low light conditions with a Leupold VX-7L 4.5-18x56 this evening and was reminded of how nice a scope that is for it's weight. Sad they only made them for I think one year and didn't carry on the pop up turrets in the VX-6 line.

I'd have to weigh them but I think the VX-6 4-24x50 may be even lighter than the VX-7 but I haven't put them on a scale to see.
