I like this thread so I am sending it BTT pardon the pun.
Here Is a Coyote Rifle for You, Actually it is an anything you want it to be rifle from chipmunks to Rinos and anything in between. It's a 300 RUM "Tomahawk" 30" 17 Twist I shoot 100gr Lapua's with 111gr of RL17, 110 Vmax's, Sierra's, and Speers work well with the same load as the 110gr TTSX's all the way up to 165gr TTSX's. No I am not going to post numbers no one would believe me anyways.

My house was just a brief stop along the way to where they were going for Christmas. The 17-year-old young lady is a cheerleader. Her dad told me that she went hunting with him when she was younger, and liked it, but something happened to her when she hit middle school age. Kids!

@skipglo what model of firearm is that? I realize it's customized and might be an ignorant question but I just can't quite place what action it is built on... is it non-restricted?

You might want to clean some of that brass off that action on your coyote rifle before you shoot it again. I am not trying to be a smart-aleck, but I think your accuracy may improve with a good cleaning.

Not in Canada!!!!!! I spent a fortune on this gun 14 years ago to have it restricted once I got it home....who takes a 14 pound gun to a bank robbery? It's a customized AR platform. I see you're also Canadian....so now a part of our BAN! It was already restricted....should have been enough for our Part time teacher/ Prime Minister! Also...there are few ignorant questions and yours isnt one of them!

Hey no offence taken I am guilty as far as cleaning goes, just like when I was a kid and cleaned my room after having my mom harping on me about it. I would just throw everything under the bed, as long as it shoots fine I leave well enough alone if the groups start to open up I say to myself "this thing could use a good cleaning" and then let history repeat itself. On the same note I got my Nightforce back I had lent it out and forgot about it until this thread or one like it made me realise it was missing, I put it on my 270 11 twist that I shoot 90gr out of talk about over kill.

I have always believed that too much was almost enough--until-- I bought a 460 S&W and a 500 S&W and some really HEAVY cast lead bullets from a guy in Alaska who apparently went out of business for some unfortunate reason. The 700 grain 500 bullets seem to satisfy my need for more. The picture of your rifle with the open action makes me believe that you too may have found a limit for that particular rifle. I hope you and everyone in the area are okay.

Hey thanks skipglo! I hear you.... I keep wishing that we could have a decent semi-auto for hunting in Canada, AR's are know to be quite accurate but like you say now prohibited....

I have bought and shot some of those 700gr bullets for my 500 and calling them bullets is a stretch,
they are more like little lead logs with .000 BC LOL although getting hit with one must be the same as being hit with a cinder block.

A fast-moving cinder block. I load them for my son who has the 10 1/2 inch barrel model. I have the four-inch barrel and I like to let other folks shoot them just for the fun of it. (My fun,) I do take mine with me when I hunt hogs in case I get a real close shot. The 700 gr. bullets on a 200-pound pig through the gristle plate is a kick to watch, as well as shoot.
