I have a LR, had a problem and called, no problem to send in and was super helpful. Had a garmin inreach, one of the first ones. It stopped working, called Garmin, they said it was now obsolete and they couldn't repair it but would give me 15% off the new mini. I have a $300 paper weight. Just saying we all have different experiences, some good and some bad. I do have multiple other Garmin products and I like them but makes me nervous if they ever decide to discontinue one.
Labradar LX - I guess they have an answer for the Garmin Zero. Maybe?

Anything tech related becomes obsolete sooner or later. How about cell phones…seems like they last 5 minutes and cost $1500 for the new model. I have the 1st gen magneto Chrono and it still works great…sometimes you can push things along past their expiration date and they still work great, most of the time not so much.
Have had several Garmin products for the years. From fishfinders GPS, Hand held GPS, and several Rinos. None have lasted as long as you would expect. I think short lifespans are engineered into them. All except for one thing, the original Garmin handheld GPS....
Will help anyone out and give em $300 for their Garmin Xero so they can get a Labradar XL. Too soon?

I chuckled when I saw used and even unused pre-owned LR go up for sale the day the Garmins hit the market. From $500-600 to $300 or so in a single day. I'll wait till my LR dies a smoky ozone emmitting death and then look for something new. Glad most people enjoy their Garmins. The users are doing field testing for us stubborn types.
Still have my Garmin E TREX Vista with TOPO maps from around the world. work GREAT

It does! I tried it and posted the video on a few other Garmin XERO posts. I talked to Greg at Primal rights and he figured out a way to make it work. Essentially you have to have enough distance in front of it so it's to not flood out the radar signal.
imagine if you can get this dialed in and shoot it out to say five 600 yards and know your velocity BC at each of those distances.

Having the ability to do so may have some advantage. The new Garmin could be put at 200yd-300yd-400yd and get accurate readings at distance, which the LR could not do.
Yes, I saw his video. Not putting it in front of a big target that reflects the radar waves back makes sense, but how far above or to the side do you shoot? That may be easy at 100, maybe not as easy past 300.
I bought a Garmin and will give it a try but the LabRadar can have so much more tractable data input into it that is very helpful in analyzing results. I do wish it was less clunky and more reliable but for the way I look at load data results, it's still the winner for me.
Just get a Infinition and you won't have to walk/drive to any yardage past the Shooting Table. It will give you precise data on your bullet path with velocity at any given point...

I'm lost on why people need down rage BC reports. I shoot Bergers almost exclusively and use there drag model with garmin MV and have had zero issues when I shoot out to 1200 yards. Is the downrange BC a requirement of ELR shoots or am I missing something entirely?
Mine is like yours. Just like norma.
