In the Ear? Really???

Only time I've had someone shoot at me was back in college. Me and a few buddies were dove hunting in at the corner of a cut sunflower field. All of the sudden it sounds like it is raining. Heard something like firecrackers in the distance. Look up, and not a cloud in the sky. Few minutes later, same thing happens. We stand up and when we turned around, we saw 4 trespassing hunters in the opposite corner of the field. We yell at then to leave and see them point their guns at us and shoot. 4 or 5 seconds later, pellets started landing all around us. Didn't seem fair that they didn't have to dodge pellets, so we returned the favor. I went through 3 boxes of bird shot. None of us were it, and the trespassers left before we could get down to talk to them .

Not quite as exciting as what you've done. Thank you for your service!

It takes a total ****** to jump out of a perfectly good airplane!

Coy,
I have to take umbrage with your statement. Apparently you do not understand the definition of ******! To help you remember I'll repeat a small refrain that is common knowledge, however has been distorted over time:

Those that can do, do!
Those that can't do, Teach!
(Over time the the third line to this has been forgotten, but after extensive research, I have recovered it) -
Those that can do neither, become farmers and Ranchers!

The term ******, used as a derogatory term, relates to a slow mental condition.

Skydiving, on the other hand relates to both a fast mental and physical application of the laws of Physics! (Gravity in this specific case) If you don't think you're mind is racing when you jump, you need to try it, at least once.

Besides, there is no such thing as a perfectly good airplane, all the time, as the NTSB will attest. Given a choice, i'd rather jump than ride it down. if you will check the statistics, most major skydiving accidents relate to the planes failures, not the divers, resulting in multiple casualties rather than individual casualties.

Besides, as big as you are, we would need a cargo chute!

Well, just to keep the viewers entertained while waiting for djones to Photo-shop his picture, got a morality question for ya'll.

Are you as moral as you think you are? This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Only you will know the results, so remember that your answer needs to be honest.

THE SITUATION:
You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.

THE TEST:
Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is. It's Barack Obama! At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever.

YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
You can save the life of Barack Obama or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most powerful socialist men hell bent on the destruction of America.

THE QUESTION:
Here's the question, and please give an honest answer. "Would you select high contrast color film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?"

Classic!!

Classic!!

See, just goes to show how different people are...I personally would have gone with the high contrast color to catch every nuance. But then again, I would have probably notified emergency response personnel, providing I could find a stamp, with everything else going on!

105 Degree's, 102 Degree's......Jeeezz, still winter weather. Was 108 in Tucson today with 111 expected on Saturday. Of course, it's a dry heat which means that it's so dry I went into my backyard and one of the oranges was sucking a lemon.

With the water rationing, people are limited to 1 bath a week. djones wants to move here so he has a legitimate excuse not to take a bath!

At least one of the advantages with the sunshine is you don't have to shovel it!
