I need some help on swapping a 6.5 CM to 6.5 PRC

Ok Gents,
I have located 140 berger VLD's. I have new brass, I cannot find RL26 , In fact I only have retumbo and h1000. Not finding much powder at all in the Milwaukee area.
Suggestions for this newbie?

You will find h1000 and Retumbo to slow for the 6.5 Creed. Maybe you can find someone in your area to trade some powder with.

Reloader 23 is my next pick for a substitute of reloader 26. I get the same great performance as 26 but 23 seems to do more with less grains. I've tried IMR 8133 and got nothing good from it, I have h4381sc but never tried it as 23 and 26 has been great for the prc and I. I wouldn't mind to try h1000 but eh, I've got enough 23 and 26 to burn this barrel and maybe another if I exclusively only use it for the prc.

I like the route you're currently pursuing - while the 6.5 PRC is a great round, good luck finding ammunition or brass for it. Not fun to have a rifle that you can't shoot. Keep looking around for RL-26, it'll turn up. I'm also a fan of RL-23!

Retumbo, H1000, 4831, rl26, n560, n565. All work. N560 is pretty close to rl26 in my prc. 4350 will also work.

You would happen to have the 6.5 CM page handy would you? Looking for options with the 140 VLD, but can start with Hornady.
Thanks
Thanks Shep, I will follow up on the hammer thread.

H4350 and rl16 and H4831. These have been the bread and butter for the Creed with 140 class bullets. No they can't get the speed of rl26. But they are very accurate powders in the Creed. Almost every bullet and powder company has load data online for free now.
