Does anyone know of loads in a .28 Nosler using bullets in the 120, 130, and 140 grain neighborhood?
What brand of bullets and which powders used? Also, what velocities?

Thanks.

Rich, I use this load in my 28 Nosler:

ADG Brass
Federal GM215M primers
143 grain Hammer Hunter bullets
78.2 grains of 4831SC
Velocity 3359 with low ES/SD.

Currently have mine loaded with Barnes145 lrx, 85 grains of retumbo @ 3475 fps. Last load was 140 gr TTSX and 86 gr of retumbo but don't remember the velocity. Both loads around 1/2 moa out of my Cooper model 52.

Check the CC capacity in water between the 28 Nosler and the 7 STW, good place to start with load data on the light bullets.

I suggest IMR 7828 with 125s with the 140s and R#22 with 120s with cci 250's, get ready for a shock, kiss the lands and find pressure to start. Get ready for a shock!

Lightest I have run in both of mine is a 162, both shot 3400 with RL33 and RL26 and both powders were very accurate. Loaded quite long, over 3.6". With RL26 you could make a 140 hit ludicrous speed.....

I've used the 140 NBT a bit in my 7 Mashburn Super. I've used the 120 TTSX with R22 a bunch in my Mashburn! My normal load runs 3500, I can go to 3600 but primer pocket life gets a bit short. That darn 120 will give most any critter from elk on down the lights out darn fast! Great load.

I have run Barnes TSX 120's in both my 7STW & RUM. Velocities were impressive, yet not as high as I predicted.
I don't have a Nosler, but it would be similar to the STW.
I no longer have the RUM data, but you can find Nosler data on line.

Cheers.
