With ordinary unimproved .243s having published load data over 4000 fps with 55 grain bullets of conventional construction, I'm sure your long barreled AI shooting hammers ought to hit 5000 .

Will you be using this on whitetail? Years ago myself and a friend shot lots of deer with our 243's and a 55 gr hollow point Hornady. Very explosive, but killed well if shot in the ribs. I'm thinking it should work great with the 55 HH. The 55 HH has been tempting me for my 6 dasher, but I think I'll try the 75 HHT first.The 55g Hammer Hunter
