Interesting. How long did it take for your scope to get delivered?

Thanks!

I bought it from another forum member.

I was excited to give it a try. Kind of disappointed that it failed my expectations before I got to test it out.

I don't get it. It is too heavy, but you want more scope tube???? I think you just have an issue with the Huskemaw scope in general. Here are some interesting facts. The Huskemaw has a total of 5.7 inches of mounting space on the tube, 2.2 inches in the front and 2.1 inches in the rear. The Leupold has 5.5 inches total space for rings 1.7 in the front and 2.5 in the rear, and the Nightforce has 6.6 inches of mounting space. I could not find a front and rear measurement on their site. The Zeiss Conquest has 1.75 in the front and 2.5 in the rear which makes it very close to the Leupold. All but the Nightforce have less mounting space than the Huskemaw. With the generous eye relief even at 20 power you should have easily mounted it to fit you and your buddy.

Wingnut you may want to Check your facts. My vxIII 6.5-20x50m LR has much more mounting space than the huskemaw ill take a picture so you can visually see how full of crap you are.

There's definitely some room for adjustment on a 700LA w/ Talley rings. Attached to this post is a pic of my Sendero SF II (300 RUM) w/ Talley rings and a Huskemaw. I'm 6'0" and the eye relief (as setup in this picture) is perfect for me.

Tikkamike, I stand corrected. I was comparing the 4.5 to 14 because it was very close to OAL. Your 6.5 to 20 is 1 in longer so that is not a good comparison. Even so it will easily mount to any long action and you will be able to get a full sight picture. Full of crap, not all the time, but maybe you should save the childish comments for another sight. Basin WY huh? You should know Trevor at CPG then and probably me since I am from OTTO.

Looks likes a half inch or so?? That's nit much. Thanks for prooving my point. Here's a picture of a LR leupold next to a huskemaw. The 2 center Scopes the left is huskemaw the right is a 6.5-20x50mm LR leupold. Its Not a straight on pic so you can't see the huge difference as well as I would like but you can see there is a dramatice diferebce in tube length.

I know Trevor. Don't think I know you because I don't think I know anyone from Otto. It wasn't a childish comment you told me I basically have a vendetta against huskemaw. I don't I bought one just to try out. Then you spouted out some numbers that were very obviously incorrect. Sorry if you don't like being called on it when your wrong. The huskemaw works no doubt about it. I just am saying it doesn't fit my parameters of an acceptable scope for my own personal rifles. And it didn't work out very well in my buddies application either. If I want a scope that weighs that much I'm going nf because i dont feel tyere is any comprmise there. if not I'm sticking with mY leupold.

Response to Lapuaguy...

Wrote that the clarity was "on par".......same as NF. You're right , I should can the hyperbole......My Savage is a .25 MOA rifle.

Maybe at 25 yards. With the barrels on those, you will be lucky to shoot at or slightly above .5 MOA, and that is if you are lucky. Most shoot under.75 MOA. Sorry, I think you are fibbing. And I think even savage would agree with me.

I have to disagree. I had a savage That shot like crap but a friend bought a weather warrior in 300 win and I built a lad for it using 180ttsx And no joke 1 hole groups at 100 yards I think center to center measure .18 or something. Savage has some super accurate rifles at least the accustock I shot seemed to be.

I also have stock savage rifles in .308 and .260 that will shoot .25 moa at 100 yds. I even posted the pics on savageshooters forum a year or two ago and found out I wasnt the only one. They do make some very accrurate rifles.

Sorry for going off topic of this hair pulling discussion about Huskemaw rifle scopes.

Carry on!

It's too bad. A lot of people out there might actually think you know what you are talking about and miss an opportunity.

Savage is in my back yard out here. Been there, know them, and more importantly Savage has sponsored many of our club's shoots. We have seen this kind of performance numerous times and so has Savage. THe LRH uses the same barrel tooling process as the Benchrest series.

They do? not saying you are wrong but i have never seen that advertised. I would think if that were the case they would advertise it to try and sell more rifles...
