Hunting with E-bikes

Like the same way you asked me if I was born in Montana? Let that sink in for a moment. It does not take a rocket scientist where you are coming from. I already told you where I stand, and no further explanation or justification is required, esp. to you. Like it or not, deal with it.

BTW, thanks to FWP, I already have a couple of places to use my e-bike.
And the degradation of our wild places will ensue. Yeah, I'm a multigenerational Montanan. So what? 406muley

I think this is officially off the rails. The motorized vehicles restriction is NOT to make the access harder. It's to keep the wilderness from being made non wilderness like every public mountainside that allows trucks, quads, dirt bikes and the like.
It's the same reason you can't cut firewood with a chainsaw in those places.
The impact is not just ruts and trails, it's the yahoo's being yahoo's in the wilderness.
boots, bicycles, e-bikes,and horses don't have the "impact" that "motorized " vehicles do.
These definitions were written before any of us thought we'd see a battery on a bike, but long after dirt bikes
We are all there to hunt in the peace and quiet and we are all opposed to anything that interrupts our peace and quiet.
These bikes are quiet

Except for mine. I put playing cards on my forks with clothes pins... makes em sound cool

I've spent thousand of hours in our forest, teaching, exploring, hunting, sharing time as a guide so others could enjoy nature.
Our advancing technology is definitely diminishing the wilderness.
The balance of nature has been disturbed and it is evident that the impact of the human footprint must be addressed.
With the poorly ran bureaucratic government entities making poor uneducated decisions usually based with monetary priorities we will be fortunate to have available access to our land!
I have witnessed so much lack of respect for each other, exploitation of the wild for profit and the general human greed that is speeding up this evolution.
Reading through this discussion and see the reoccurring issue of society "not taking responsibility of individual actions and justifying them with entitlement".
I do not like any bikes on hiking trails, multiple pack strings of a dozen horses going by with outfitter giving me the stink eye because I starting hiking at 3:00 am. and he thinks he owns the mountain!
being told I could not use my buck cart because it had a wheel on it? IMG_0261.JPG

Life is not fair and not all men are created equal !

"I" respectfully disagree. My wife and I have volunteered, donated, and fundraiser for some of the trails in question. My scout Troop, Order of the Arrow, and Venture Crew have previously done the same. I have seen more damages/mess caused by horses than motorized bikes.

Seen the same here. I've been involved in Scouting for over 40 years and I've seen as much damage done by horses as done by single track motorized. However the cake was taken by razors/side by sides up at Tizer Lake. One of our Eagle candidates had to build fencing around areas of the lake because razor/side by sides were rooster tailing in the lake/mud.

Crap like that will wind up with NO motorized access to anyone.

We should chat- I'll bet we've crossed paths at camporees/K-M or something.

Again, you keep stereotyping and stuck on entitlement. Who are you to decide on this matter?
I"m pretty sure that I and only I will decide what my opinion is. Do you not agree? If I think a behavior or attitude is entitled, then that is my opinion. There is nothing that you can or will do about that. So, stop trying to be the Thought Police.......
