How old are you? How old do you FEEL?

67, 5'7", 225 with 24 years in special opns. Over 1000 parachute jumps and 2 major accidents. Until age 55 I was going strong with young women still in danger and then the body said "I quit". Since then, 4 fused vertabra in neck, 4 damaged in back, both shoulder rotator operations, several broken ribs, one broken arm, both ankles broken twice and one knee replaced and the other is a year out, residual TBI and two hearing aids. BP is still 110/70 and take no meds other than Aleve day and night. My buddy and I just hauled two 250lb MO white tails out of deep muddy beanfield over 500 yards and it sucked. Knees said no, but short breaks and we did it. Just got released from doctor to start hitting the gym again, so still hanging in.

jesus...I quit after 20 normal airborne ops. Only had one bad jump but that was enough for me. I'm 31 and have 3 compressed discs from jumping and IEDs. I have hearing issues as well. Not bad enough for hearing aids just yet. Good luck to you!! I hope taxpayers are taking care of you. You deserve it!!!

I am currently 70% on shoulders, ankles and back. Knees, neck and back are 9 years into appeals with VA. Had a BVA hearing on 1 April (go figure) and no word from judge. With new C&P exams I should be 100 % eventually. VA is the worlds worst agency filled with mindless idiots mostly.

That's what 4 wheelers are for.

Ha Ha, we were hunting Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge with lots of very large high scoring whitetails. Mine was 145-150 we think and 537 yards with a 280 AI. NO 4 wheelers allowed, but we had a game cart that sank over 2" inches in the mud and beanstalks and mud locked one wheel up totally so it did not roll. You do what you have to do and gut it out.

I am 61, nearly 62. I have only one problem they can't seem to fix, left shoulder 4x rotator cuff op. This time one of the bone anchors is infected, sore, like a toothache in your shoulder. Sawbones doesn't know whether to replace the shoulder or dig out the infection. Waiting on it. Other than that I am fit, healthy...God willing

My goodness this is depressing... 28 5'7" 170lbs.... some of you make the future look dim haha.

stay lean and keep working out. I "bulked" up and I'm at 203 at 6'2". It kind of sucks. I'm "strong" but looking back I definitely remember my endurance days. Experiencing both sides of the fence (strength or endurance) Endurance is definitely way more important.

what's more beneficial to your lifestyle? Benching 315 3x or being able to run 10 miles in an hour and Continue about your day like nothing happened?

Mountains are steep here in northern AZ. Genetically I have a tendency to bulk, I try my hardest to stretch and do more agility than heavy weights. We've been moving and getting promotions at work so I'm transitioning from alcoholic back to exercising regularly

I'm 38, and I feel 60ish. I've treated my body like an amusement park. My motorcycle decided I needed to lay down and take a nap. Screwed my back up doing "wrestling" with my cousins. You know, the fake stuff. Entertainment. I did a flip off the top rope and rather than land flat on my back (you also smack the canvas as you hit to make it sound worse), I landed on my tail bone. Anyway, now I have a vertebra that sticks out. I technically "broke" my back.

But the icing on the cake is, my wife has been having health issues. So I've stayed at home with her. Now I'm so out of shape, I get tired just standing.

So yeah, 60ish

morning, 74, feel 30 at times. 5 bypasses. knees shot 3 surgeries.
ran to much, 2 much lifting weights. ranger in the svcs.
good days and better days watch the sunrise everyday.
thank god for every day of sunlight. justme gbot tum

that made me literally laugh out loud. I was thinking yeah that's reasonable to swap workouts. Then I was like oh wait...alcoholism isn't a workout. Haha haha

Guess I've been fortunate. Just turned 68. Hunted sheep at 63. Killed another 6 pt. elk in wilderness at 65. Took horseback pack trip riding thru Thorofare for 85 miles last year at 67. In rehab. mode right now from 1st mule mishap in 35 years with broken femur. Workout regularly, still bench 300 and take no meds. Life is pretty good.
