Where in Texas are you
I call it the western suburbs of Weimar, TX. The range I shoot at is a little south of El Campo. I'll be there in a few hours :) My oldest son lives in Columbus, my youngest son lives in eastern San Antonio, the daughters are both down in Edna and Vanderbilt. My son-in-law has a company called Bad *** Hogs Dogs but he doesn't take clients anymore, just his two boys. He has a fencing company. So... even though you didn't ask for all that, I travel to all of those places fairly often.

I have 4 Husqvarna small ring Mausers and a Weatherby Backcountry.
The Huskys are 300 Win.7mmRem,25-05 and newest buy 243 rem.
The rifles I shoot the most are the 243 and 6.5 RPM for two reason recoil and still working loads for 6.5.
The 300 and 7mm are elk big game rifles, the 6.5 is new toy for medium size game.
Don't know why I don't shoot the 25-06 more, its a tack driver that I built out of an old 30-06.
I guess it was easy to find the perfect load for it, IMR4350 115 Nosler Ballistic Tip.
Have settled on loads for 300 and 7mm.
