Hammer Hunter Load Data, (See page 1, Post 8)

That's what I'm talking about, we were running the 140 NBT's faster than 3300 back in the day
I never found pressure. Got it up to almost 3600 and got nervous. This was my first foray with Hammers about 3.5 years ago, so I was scared I'd blow myself or the gun up. Plus, it shoots extremely well around 3500 fps. A new brass load loves it at 3472 fps and an ES of 2 or 3.........can't remember it exactly. I want to say the fired brass load is at 3540 fps range. I'll have to look at my notes

I will push this a little further. Factory stock rifle and 64.5-66.5 were 9/16. These hammers are amazing.

You could likely get that velocity up quite a bit IMO. My 25" 7WSM will shoot the 143HH @ 3,200 ft/sec with RE23 and @ 3,350 with RE26.

338 Ruger Compact Magnum, 186 gr SH
Ruger Alaskan, 20" barrel, 9.75 twist, Hornady brass, COL 2.835"
58.5 gr Win 748, 2802 fps, .333 group, no pressure sign.
Hit pressure signs at 61.5 gr and group opened to over 1" at 60.5 gr.
Very accurate powder.

Loaded up some 130 Shock Hammers for my 300 BLK bolt gun a few days ago and ran them over the chrony this morning, just for fun. I understand this isn't by any stretch a long range rifle or load, but if someone has a young child who wanted to hunt or if someone just wanted a very low recoiling round, it is a viable option. Settled on 20.0 grains of Win 296 with Win brass and CCI 400's loaded to 2.100". This is a hot load for a BLK according to the books, but the bolt lift was easy. Velocity was over 2300 fps so I would expect the bullet to do a decent job. By comparison, I top out at around 2400 with a 110 grain Barnes TAC-TX with this rifle.
