Do a mini ladder 58-60 by 0.2. And record your velocity and you'll dial yourself right in.Took the 30-06 to 500 yards to do a short ladder, 55-62 @ 1 grain increment. 61 started to see faint ejector swipe, 62 is hard bolt lift. I did not take the LabRadar, have terminal velocity reading from Shormarker, just back calculate muzzle.

CCI 250
Disregard the SR3 target. We used it to zero our 300WM hunting rifles, and took cold bore at 500. Afterwards I ran the short ladder.

Any suggestion as to which load to start development? 58.5 would be my vote.
Back calculating based on the retained velocity at 500, my guess the muzzle velocity of 58.5 would be in the neighborhood of 3350-3370

Did a little velocity testing today. Was going to shoot a few groups with the needmoor but the wind was howling and I couldn't hold the rifle still enough even with the bags. I did one group with the 6.5 that was about moa which was pretty impressive with how much I was moving.

43.0–2934
43.5–2967
44.0–2998
44.5–3022–Ejector swipe, bolt a little stiff. Primer pocket loose with my no-go gauge. Probably play around the 43.5 and see how she groups. May also try IMR-4166 to get in the varget burn rate.

With IMR-4451
76–2815
77–2818
77.5–2826
78–2824
Should I keep going here or try the 4350 for groups. I also have n560, should I play with that for maybe better case fill?

I concurI would try H4350 with the 169 HH in the 7 Rem Mag.
Eventually I will try H4350 with the 155HH out of a 7 Rem Mag. If you look on hammer time and see how well H4350 went with the 300 WM, seems like it should pair very well with the 7 RM as well.
Try the 90 gr absolute and you might get thereSOOOO Close.

That is cool !! I know they had some bullets a while back that had cutting oil in the hollow points that gave the vapor trail. Might wash in solvent to remove it for game shots...and add more for target shooting. Also likes to leave a vapor trail like a 737. Pretty crazy for shooting in the desert at 80 deg!View attachment 313683
