It's actually 2.645 I just have a dial caliper with a 1" comparator so I just call it how I see it.
COAL 3.165"

I tried xbr 8208 but it's to fast I had bolt lift at 56gr 3107.

You might get slightly better velocity and case fill with 4895 but I only have one pound of that and a lot of varget so didn't bother trying it.

Steve at Hammer texted me about a load workup they did for a 6.5 PRC (Browning Hell's Canyon) that beats all.

Bertram brass
wlr primer
124HH
64g n560 (max load)
2.90 aol
3,470 fps 😮

Dang, I've been trying to get those kind of speeds out of the 123 AH but keep coming up short. If I can get ahold of some N560 I might have to give it a shot.

Still a couple lb in stock

Thank you for the heads up, I actually checked there and bought the last two then came here and saw your post. I'll test it with the AH first as I have a couple hundred of those already on my bench then test the 124s if that doesn't work out.

Dang, that is smokin'!!!! I only got around 3240 fps with the 124 HH in my 6.5-284 Norma. Now you're making me want to get some N560 and give it a run. I thought my 109 AH load doing 3511 was great, but that load with the 124 is unreal

I took pictures of every load through the spotter. You have to expand to see the blurry holes. Will add on the next post.

Pressure test loads on target. Wind shaking the spotter, hard to get steady pictures.

In retrospect I should have done this on blank sheet with black paster for aiming.

Brass appears ok. Fired brass center row, top to bottom, 52-60. Primer flow is due to large pin hole. Will have it bushed, that will take care of it.
