Yep!Retumbo is slower than H1000.

U can use rl 26. Imr 4831,n570, and i believe rl25I've been watching this forum for a while, novice reloader, shot first bull in Colorado last year with XBolt 300WM. Reload with H1000, Nosler brass, 180 AB, 215 primers. Can't find H1000 so wondering which other powders are about the same to start a new load?
I load 338 Lapua 265gr Barnes with N565 and its awesomeGoing to be a few weeks before I can test it but I'm trying vv n565 in a rifle to replace h1000.
I hear from a couple of friends that viht 565 is an exact replacement for RL26 in their 300 WMs. Even the same charge weight just a few fps faster.Going to be a few weeks before I can test it but I'm trying vv n565 in a rifle to replace h1000.
That's what I provided in #2 and #7, with data and pictures too.IMr 7977. Temp stable and almost identical to h1000 Hodgdon site states it.
I'm saving my H1000 for hunting season on a few guns. I shot IMr 7977 yesterday over a chrono and I shot my proven h1000 load. I'll need .5 to 1 grain more to match speed of proven load.
IMr 8133 is close to Retumbo per Hodgdon.
Good luck
Look at the burn rate charts.

Yep, that's the beauty of reloading.I'd go to the burn rate chart and look for what ever brand/type I could find. Rl26 would be one of my top few choices if I had one.
In order of successful loadsI've been watching this forum for a while, novice reloader, shot first bull in Colorado last year with XBolt 300WM. Reload with H1000, Nosler brass, 180 AB, 215 primers. Can't find H1000 so wondering which other powders are about the same to start a new load?
I've tried many of the powders listed so far, H1000, 7828, Retumbo, etc and have switched to Magnum which is much better in my 300WM. 3000fps without pushing max, clean burning, not temp sensitive, and sub-moa. I highly recommend it as an alternative.I've been watching this forum for a while, novice reloader, shot first bull in Colorado last year with XBolt 300WM. And 8133 is slower than retumbo BUT you can fit more of it in a given caseRetumbo is slower than H1000.
H4831, R25, H4350, N150, N170I've been watching this forum for a while, novice reloader, shot first bull in Colorado last year with XBolt 300WM. Reload with H1000, Nosler brass, 180 AB, 215 primers. Can't find H1000 so wondering which other powders are about the same to start a new load?
Agree but it hasn't been seen in a yearRetumbo is the best substitute almost Identical, You might not even have to change the load.

73g of RL22 will push 180's 3040To get 3000fps with 180s in a 300WM you must be loading 80gr of H1000 that's a compressed load.
I don't think you will have anymore room to add more powder to compensate as far as case volume.
