Flattest shooting deer rifle

There are a few that will fill that request, and one couldn't go wrong with the 257Wby or even a 270Win running a 110gr TTSX at 3,400fps and zeroed for 300yds.

I have a 26" barreled 25-06 shooting an 80gr TTSX running just over 3,800fps, and when zeroed at 300yds, it is only 6.4" low at 400yds. Though, that is for my elevation here in the Rockies.

It's all a matter of pieces of the equation..
Start with how heavy a rifle is it going to be..packing..sitting a blind..or shooting across canyons....
Obviously a lighter bullet going to be screaming across the 400yd distance faster.....but it's still gonna have a recoil to it unless you put on a brake....is that something he wants to deal with...more noise.....
My 65284s at 400yds with 142LRABs are about 21" of drop at 2950fps...
26Nosler is 19" with 140ac at 3200fps...
Recoil about the same in both..no brakes.......drop those bullets down to 129LRAB and it's an entirely different story..........but I like'm..where they is....
