Flatline Precision 300 NMI’s

I just started load development with n565, I like it so far - getting a very nice and wide node at 2,950 fps with the 245gr Bergers

Longest shot I've taken with a hunting style rifle. Cold bore test at 1376 yards. 11.1 Mils at sea level. Aiming at base of red bush with a 2MPH right to left wind. Pretty happy about that. Data is lining up nicely!!

Which bipod did you decide to hunt with for this fall?
Going with the Tier One A-tac bipod in the tall version. It's been a great bipod, other than it doesn't lock the cant down as tight as I would like. Still a solid bipod.

The VV powders are seriously excellent in this cartridge. I just decided to try not to shoot them anymore because they are so **** dirty and burn hot. But produce the best performance by about 50-100 fps over other powders and normally keep a tight ES also.

Been shooting quite a bit lately. Even took the gun out to 1 mile with decent ease honestly. Shot 9" tall X 24" wide group in a 6 MPH wind. Velocity's have pretty well stabilized to 2928fps average at 60 degrees and 2937fps at around 85-90 degrees. The gun really does seem to be a pretty consistent shooter. I think I'll have a legit 1200 yard capable rifle with dependable data before season comes.

Had to burn up some ammo so that I could prep the rest of my brass for the season. So I shot an 11 shot group at 378 yards just for fun. Looks like about 80% of my shots land within 1/2 MOA. And they all landed within .77 MOA at almost 400 yards. The far left 2 shots were shots 10 & 11 also unfortunately hahaha.

Then I tested some of my final prepped brass that I'll be shooting for the season. It shot a .5 MOA group for 5 shots at 378 yards with an ES of 8. Slowed down a little bit. So I'll just add a grain and bring it up to speed again and just call it good.

and that's shooting so well, I may just live with it running slower! Great ES and groups - nice shooting!

What do you think made it slow down so much ?
Maybe leaving my powder in the hopper for a while. I intentionally filled up about 100 rounds worth of powder and left it out so it would all be the same dryness for when I load all these rounds. Or possibly the new AMP making the necks and seating a little bit softer. Those are the two changes with this prep vs. the last prep.

I know it, but it shoots great at 2940 also. I'm just going to bring it back up to speed. It pretty much shoots good at all charges lol

nice problem to have! I'd be interested to see a comparison group with the increased charge weight at your original speeds now.
