I had a buddy get out of the truck to take his coat and stuff out of his pack, set his rifle down on the bipod beside the truck and left it on the mountain. Lucky the person who found it was honest and returned it
You must have some good hiding spots!It just took me awhile to find where I had put my Savage 16 204 Ruger, & I once couldn't find my Ruger 41mag for about 8 months

I was hunting a patch of woods that my brother owned in the morning with my flintlock. In the afternoon I drove up to the mountain about 45 minutes away. Got out, started to get ready and discovered I didn't have my rifle with me. It dawned on me that I left it leaning up against by brothers shed. I had to drive all the way back to get it.
Never had much of an issue finding my stuff at the house.
I got into a panic one night before the start of hunting season. I couldn't find my license. I was hunting all over for it. Started to think that I mistakenly through it out in mistake for my old license from the year before. I later discovered I was carrying it around the whole time in my wallet. It was in a compartment that I had forgotten about.

I have a gun in every room of my house except the bathrooms. I four rifles and a crossbow in my sunroom right now.
Why not in the bathroom's? Is the smell enough of a deterrent? I know my wife stay's clear

Humidity man, humidity! Never store a gun in a room with a hot shower. Unless you are Big Jake, then you shower with a shotgun.

had his rifle, A Ruger M77 06' he saved for years to buy (1984) which he forgot on the roof. After a week of so, someone told him they thought they saw a rifle on the shoulder down by where he was. lol it sat in pretzel shape above the bar for 2 years

I had a lil wather 22 pistol, plinker.Lost track as I have a small smith 2219 and a bobcat or whatever it is.Hadnt seen in 2 years.My kid and I where out in barn looking at my shed collection and he said, that your gun, I still not see it, hanging on a nail.My brain I think thought might be good have something at barn, coyote or if I run into lion or something at night down there. I also lost a 44 ss 629 in mountains for 3-4 years, stalking bear with my bow.Found it.after about 100 trips and a gazillion miles looking
