Been shooting a Hells canyon 7 mag with Remington corlock tipped 150 grain. I bought some Hornady eld-x. What's would be the best load and what powder would I use.

If I were you in these times I would pick a velocity and bullet you want. Then I would look in a manual at the powders that will achieve that speed. Then pick from those powders that are available and the price you want to spend. Any suitable primer you can get to start with would be fine. Start loading and have fun. Thanks

There are several powders that work great for bullets 160gr and above.

H1000, Retumbo, IMR7828 SSC and H4831SC will work great. I have not tried Vihtavuori powders, but some can chime in with info on them.

RL23, RL26 and RL33, if you can find any, discontinued for now.

Mine likes RL23 and IMR7977, both discontinued. Eventually I will have to find a different powder when I run out, or I will provably rebarrel and go with 7RSAUM or 7PRC
